Would it be too much to ask for a little, bitty, smidge of Nellen in the last episode(s) of the season?
Whenever I hear (read?) someone say Nellen/Nallen could never work because he’s old enough to be her dad, it makes me feel oh so old.
This isn’t a good feeling - I’m only twenty-seven! So probably around the same age as Nell, or perhaps a year or two older. And when I think of Chris O’Donnell, this is what comes to mind:
Yep, his days as Robin. Boy wonder. Surely he can’t be old enough to be my father? Not unless he knocked up my mum as an early teenager.
But then again, I’m firmly of the opinion that age is just a number and so long as everyone is old enough to be legal who the heck cares?
Plus older men are sexier.
Plus: if you’re instantly dismissive of a pairing because of a fifteen-year-odd age gap you’re missing out on some of the most interesting and compelling romantic pairings in history, the literary world and silver screen. For example, did you know there was a thirteen year gap between Prince Charles and Princess Diana?
Shit, bad example.
But you get the idea, or at least I hope you do. I understand why Nallen/Nellen isn’t for everyone, but I don’t get the ‘he’s too old!’ reasoning.
Next time: I attempt to explain why I dig Nallen/Nellen despite the fact there is very little interaction between them.
I really like the way Callen has taken to calling Nell when he needs to bounce ideas off of someone other than Sam.

My sister, Natalie Phillips (née Conboy), known as ‘Tal’, has gone missing. She was dropped off at Blackburn train station (Vue entrance) at around 5:55pm on Friday 20/04/12 carrying a small black suitcase on 4 wheels and a black quicksilver rucksack with white writing on. She was wearing jeans and had with her a hoody with ‘Talie’ embroidered on the back and also a large 3/4 length black vinyl coat (shiny) with grey streaks.
We last had contact with Tal at around 8pm on the same day. Normally, she’d return home as planned by midday the following day. We have still had no contact as I write this at 10:34am on 22/04/12.
The only information she gave us about her plans, included on the last received text, were her intention of going to the Frog and Bucket comedy club on Oldham Street. We’re trying to spread the word just in case anyone has any information whatsoever.
Please try and help. If you know anything, no matter how insignificant it may seem, it may help to bring our Tal back.
She’s 21, about 5 foot 5”, between 12 and 12.5 stone, blonde hair (dyed).

Yes, it doesn’t take much to put some Densi in an episode (background moments are actually the best thing in the world).
But hey, at least our couple is somewhat/almost canon.
